- Is Mediterraneanhosting in charge of the registration of my domain?-
Yes. We contact InterNIC, once activated their bill, to request a registration
of domain name or transfer.
- Should I get .net and .org in addition to .com?-
If you are concerned that someone will take your domain with the .net or .org
extensions,
you should get them before someone else does.
- Can I transfer my domain name to Mediterraneanhosting?-
Yes, perfectly. If you have a domain name registered, we will transfer their DNS
to our server.
- How will I know when my domain has been registered?-
You will be able to access your site with a browser when your domain has been
registered .
In addition, the change will be reflected in the InterNIC database,
which can be searched in our domain search engine.
- How long do domain names take to transfer?-
Domain names take 2-4 days to transfer.
- Can I use my account for commercial purposes?-
Yes.Each one of our virtual webhosting packages includes a static andunique IP
address for your website.
The Web-Site and how to control it
- What can't I do with my Web space?-
Attempts to bring down our servers are forbidden. No warez, hacking, illegal activity,
or hate group sites are allowed.
Such sites are warned, then removed. In addition,
you aren't allowed to use your e-mail to send Spam.
- Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?-
You have unlimited access via FTP 24-hours per day. You can upload files to your
web site at any time.
- Can I change my login or password?-
You can change your password, but not your login. A new password can be generated
in your control panel.
- Which tools allows me to administer my Website?-
The control panel allows you to administer all your account's features.
- Where should I put my files?-
You should put your files in your public_html directory.
- Where should I put my CGI scripts?-
In the cgi-bin folder .
- What is my default file name?-
You must name your main loading file "index.html , index.htm or index.php".
Be sure to name everything in lowercase, not "INDEX.HTML".
- Where can I view my web statistics?-
